This new addition is a fun and exciting way to make glass art, handmade gifts and projects that look like they've been done by a professional. If the words "glass art" sound a little intimidating to you, don't stop reading! Glass is a very easy medium to work with. Window sun catchers, plates and platters are eye-catching and surprisingly easy to make.
Sign up for one of Turtle Creek's Glass Class(open to ages 12 and older), and you will be taught the simple steps of scoring, cutting and nipping glass. Protective eyewear and gloves are provided for you.
Once you've learned the way to cut glass to your desire and have developed a color scheme, the next step is to arrange and glue down your pieces of glass on a glass blank. Blanks come in square, rectangle, and circle shapes and are generally white opaque, black opaque, or clear. Different colors are also available to use as blanks, prices depending on color and size.

The projects currently available range from $20 to $40 per project. Believe it or not, a typical class including instructions, will take about an hour even though you are welcome to take as much time as you wish.
